Amiens – Henry Potez International Airport
Airport ownership, governance and management
Situated on a 183-hectare site less than a kilometre from the AIRBUS ATLANTIC plant in Méaulte, with which it forms one of the 11 hubs of the BELUGA European network, Amiens – Henry Potez International Airport is owned by SMAAP. This public body for local cooperation is made up of three local authorities: the Communauté de Communes du Pays du Coquelicot, the Département de la Somme and Amiens Métropole, which each contribute one-third of the pooled resources. The technical and commercial operation of the platform has been entrusted to RAAP, a local EPIC, a public industrial and commercial establishment, of 17 people, set up in 2014 as part of a change in the way the airport is managed. The choice of a personalised management company for our airport indicates its financial autonomy and legal personality, as distinct from the SMAAP. The Board of Directors meets several times a year to set the main strategic development directions in coordination SMAPP, and to guide management choices.
