Geostrategic strengths

Amiens – Henry Potez International Airport

AN AIRPORT AT THE HEART OF NORTH-WEST EUROPE

Welcome to Amiens – Henry Potez International Airport, your favorite gateway to the heart of North-West Europe. The Pays du Coquelicot, the aeronautical land of excellence of the Hauts-de-France region, occupies a strategic geographical position for economic development. Ideally located at the center of the London-Paris-Brussels triangle, it is served by road, rail and air, and is close to major European ports.

FRANCE’S LARGEST BUSINESS AIRPORT NORTH OF PARIS

Our airport’s proximity to the A1 motorway, the Haute-Picardie TGV station and, beyond that, the economic zones of Paris-Nord, cast it in a leading role in hosting international business aviation. On numerous occasions, such as the Paris Air Show, the Olympic Games, the D-Day landing ceremonies and major Parisian events in general, our vast tarmac welcomes private intercontinental jets, and operators see our welcoming facilities and expertise tailored to a demanding clientele as a high-performance alternative to Paris-Le Bourget Airport. Our airport’s low traffic volume means clear skies and fast arrivals and departures. The large expanse of land available around our facilities can accommodate a large number of business projects.
  • At the heart of the London-Brussels-Paris European triangle
  • Half way between Paris and Lille
  • Ten minutes from the A1 motorway
  • Close to major European ports
  • Served by six motorways
  • Close to the future Seine-Nord-Europe Canal
  • On the Rouen-Amiens-Lille railway line.

IN CONTACT WITH R&D DEVELOPMENT

The location of our airport and the Terre d’Excellence Aéronautique around it is a key asset for companies that need to become more competitive by investing in research and development. IndustriLAB, Altylab, and research bodies such as the Centre Technique des Industries Mécaniques, the Centre Français de la Recherche du secteur spatial et défense, and the University of Picardy Jules Verne laboratory are all resources available to build competitive advantages. In the near future, a supercomputer, the second largest in France, will complete this offering, just a few hundred metres from the airport.
